Good Life Schools Global Action Plan

We are excited to announce that we have applied for and been accepted as a Good Life School! Huntcliff School has been given an exciting opportunity to work alongside the organisation Good Life Schools Global Action Plan which supports students in realising plans to make their school a place that encourages and lives the values of a ‘good life’. Our plan is to create a peace garden on the school campus.

Global Action Plan are an organisation that work tirelessly in projects to help sustain and protect the environment with the help of the current and future generations within local communities. They help prevent climate change decline and present new, fun projects to benefit the environment, the planet and the inhabitants of the local community.

We are hopeful that this peace garden, which students, staff and members of the community will help to design and create, will not only benefit the environment by using recyclable materials, eco-friendly plantation and methods of sustainability, but will also benefit the school and community by being a positive, relaxing and inclusive space for everyone to enjoy, find a quiet moment and be themselves in.

We know our students here at Huntcliff will showcase their caring, creative and responsible natures throughout this project. The group have recently met with key stakeholders to agree the scope of the project and have created their charter, a document that shows their commitment to creating and maintaining a project that reflects the ethos of a good life and is signed by the group, responsible staff and members of the local community.  These students have already produced some amazing ideas and we cannot wait to see the end result!
