Central to raising standards in education and ensuring all students can fulfil their potential is the need for students to attend school regularly. Missing out on lessons leaves student vulnerable to falling behind. Students with poor attendance often achieve less in Year 11 than those with high levels of attendance. Huntcliff School believes attendance is a shared responsibility, involving the whole school, parents and local community. Our Attendance Policy should not be viewed in isolation – it is a thread that runs through all aspects of school improvement, and is supported by our Child Protection Policy, Anti-bullying & Racism Policy, Behaviour Policy and the Campus Accessibility Plan.
